CHA was AWESOME!

WOW! I am still trying to catch up after being gone for 8 days in sunny CA for the CHA Winter Show (I live in MN where right now it is -11 degrees).......CHA was filled with all of the newest products that will be coming to the stores and your studios for creating all those great projects you want to do!

The FASHION CRAFTING DISPLAYS that were done by the designers were FABULOUS, it is wonderful to be part of such a talented group of designers....

At the Klambach Publishing booth Linda Augsburg gave me a sneak peak at the Spring issue of "Make it Mine" magazine (http://www.makeitminemag.com/) where I have a Wearable Art Jacket with a Stamping Technique I developed........there is a small photo of the jacket on the front cover (yeah), it is pictured on editorial page and it is a 5 or 6 page article......Here is a sample of the technique on a tote bag......it is very cool!
Check out the magazine.....it's NEW; the premire issuse was Winter 2007 and it's pages are filled with wonderful designs!
I taught a WORKSHOP for Makin's Clay the No Bake Polymer Clay (http://www.makinsclay.com/) where the students learned how easy it is to work with the clay for fabulous results.....they created a Journal Cover, an ATC and Postcard all from this wonderful clay. I wil share some techniques on working with this clay soon.....I will have to take some step out pictures for you.....so stay tuned!

I took third place in the contest and am so delighted to have been is such good company with so many wonderful designers.....This little denim dress was embellished with a wonderful button trim by Expo International, I added the trim to a know top to make it a little jacket and around the tops of the shoes to create a complete Wearable Art Outfit.......My friend Stepanie Kimura took 1st Place with a wonderful Denim Jacket, visit her web site at http://www.stephaniekimura.com/ to check out her books and learn more about her. My friend Mary Lynn Maloney took 2nd Place with a beautiful Fairy Dress, you can check out her new book "Memory Art" at http://www.krause.com/ .
