When Creativity Knocks at the Winter CHA Show

Here are some pictures of my taping with When Creativity Knocks
at the Winter CHA Show.

Ana and Megan were both wonderful and made me feel at ease in front of the camera.

We filmed at the Earth Safe Finishes Booth.

The project I did was the purse that is in my last post.

I will be posting more pictures from CHA over the next few weeks;
there was lots to see and do and I want to share it here.

Then hopefully I will get back to posting pictures of my new studio.
Being sick in December set me back on getting everything done in my studio,
then I also had to get ready for CHA. So now I will be working on my studio;
the furniture is all in place and some things are in set up
but there is still so much to do.

Purseonally Thinking Green

While this is not the best picture; the purse for my CHA Green Gallery turned out fabulous.

I used magazine pages and Earth Safe Finishes Gel Medium to make the fabric for the purse. I did this on a base which can be on old shirt, sheet, jeans.....remember to use what you have, think green! My base was about 14" x 18"; this was enough to make my purse with a finished size of about 13" x 8 1/2".

If there is something you do not like or missed covering part of you base add more pages.

Continue until you have a base fabric you like.

Once the base fabric was dried I added color to it with Earth Safe Finishes Shimmer. I used Generation Green Shimmer Translucent Gel Glaze in several colors, it was just enough to add a beautiful shimmer effect to the base while allowing all of the magazine pieces show through.

I will be tapping all of the how to details for this project while at the CHA Winter Show in just a few weeks, with When Creativity Knocks .

Designer Green Gallery Display

Above is a picture of the supplies I will be using for my Design Green Gallery Display Design at the CHA Winter Show later this month.
