Sizzix Fresh Vintage Blog Hop: Caddy

Welcome to the Eileen Hull's Fresh Vintage Blog Hop
today's die is the Caddy....
when I saw this great die I knew I wanted to  make
a Christmas Countdown Calendar for the Holiday's....
It was the perfect die for the project....

I started by gluing card stock to mat board

onto the front part of the bottom half of the Caddy
and added the numbers.
Then put the bottom of the Caddy together
to adhere to foam core board.
I used the top part of the Caddy
in the top center Caddy so it could hang on the wall.

I used a 2" ruler to guide placement between rows.

I cut the top part off 24 of the Caddy's

and inserted into bottom of the Caddy's

It turned out Great!

Easy TIPS when using Glitter

I use Glitter a lot and like to keep it in
decorative bowls, jars and containers

This is a glass sugar bowl that was just sitting in my cupboard;
not being used...it is perfect for glitter...

I also use tiny little spoons to sprinkle out the glitter...

Always sprinkle glitter on top of a sheet of paper;
so that you can pick it up and put the excess
back into it's container....
it is easy to pour the excess into

Designer Craft Connection Blog Hop Sponsored by Westcott Brand

Westcott® Brand Cutting Tools

Westcott® "The World's Favorite Scissors" is sponsoring the Designer Craft Connection Blog Hop for October. VELCRO® Brand Fasteners and Duck Brand®Tape  are also supporting this blog hop by providing materials.

I chose to create a Changeable Headband for this Challenge...

the products I used are:

Products used that are not pictured above:
Plastic Headband, Velcro Brand Pink Double Sided Sheet, Brads & Charm.

Here is how I created the Changeable Headbands...

 I gathered my supplies

to cut my Duck Brand Tape
the length of my headband.  I put the  Tape
onto the headband and trimmed close with scissors.

to cut flowers out.
first put wrong sides of tape together
to make a double sided tape,
then die cut.

The flower above I left flat and
attached a brad through the center holes
with a Breast Cancer Charm hanging.

For this flower I die cut the
double sided tape and the
and layered them together.

For this flower I die cut the
out twice and used the large flower twice and
the medium and small flower once.
This product is so cool because with the
fringe of the flower I was able to
stick it to itself to form a
3D Flower easily!

Once I had all the flowers made...

which by the way cut like butter.

Then I attached the Velcro Sticky Back Adhesive
to the headband and the backs of the flowers.

The flowers stick easily to the headband

 and can be changed out

 for whatever look you want.

Then I needed a way to keep everything in place so
I used a piece of mat board and covered with
Duck Brand Tape and added
to hold the flowers in place when
not being used.
