I created a gift box by starting with
a candy box!
I glue a piece of cardstock to the top with Zip Dry by Beacon Adhesives.
I used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut my Die-Namics Fancy Flourish, Die-Namics Vintage Flourish and Die-Namics Framed Greetings Die
I was not sure which of the die cuts I would be using so I cut them all out knowing if I did not use them all they would be used in another project...
I got out my "Get-It-Straight" Laser Square from Kelly Craft to line up my Greeting Stamp since the frame and the saying were separate, the "Get-It-Straight" Laser Square made it easy to line the two stamps up straight (I must admit I am loving this tool)!
I stamped my saying and frame with Color Box ink by Clearsnap
Glued the frame onto the top center of the box. Then I cut the shanks off 2 Flower Buttons (Daisy Delight #4259) and 2 Butterfly Buttons (Butterfly Kisses #4252) from Buttons Galore and More.
I glued these to the corners of the box with Felt Glue from Beacon Adhesives....
Then I tied a bow around the outer edge of the box.
Add some tissue paper and this makes a perfect little gift box!
How nice to recycle something into a useful item, adorable little box!
