The theme for the DCC Blog hop for this month is Vintage.....which is something I love! I enjoy going to antique stores, auctions and estate sales; searching for and finding treasures. The project I did here was done with vintage lace and a transparency of my sister when she was young.
I used
Earth Safe Finishes Shimmer Opaques in several colors to cover a paper mache box and let that dry. Then I placed pn the transparency of my sister, did some stamping and die cut the word "Remember" from card stock to place on the front.
I added a fold out piece of mat board in order to create a
clock.....
that would be able to be displayed when the box was open....I placed wooded balls on the bottom for feet and trimed the edge with the vintage lace....
The saying on the inside next to the clock says "Time waits 4 No One"; which was created with a large wooded "T", die cut "ime", metal letters for "waits", a die cut "4" and up-cycled plastic letters from an old sign for "No One". This is a memory piece I created as my sister passed away a few years ago and she would have loved this....
